Copywriters hear these Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
If outsourcing copywriter services is not something with which you are familiar, or if you have not worked with me in the past, you are bound to have questions about the how expert writing can help your brand and your business. And rightfully so! That means that trust is important to you, and therefore you acknowledge how your customers value trust too.
To address your concerns, I have put together a list of frequently asked questions that customers tend to ask when considering to acquire the services of a professional copywriter.
1. How does this work?
2. Do I have to sign a contract?
No. I don’t deal with contracts. I feel that a mutually beneficial exchange based on trust doesn’t need papers. If you don’t like the deliverable I’ve worked on, and you don’t want to use it, it means that we failed to see eye to eye and you don’t have to pay me. Please note, however, that I do require a non-refundable deposit before imitating a large project, like a white paper.
3. Do you take every single client, always?
Short answer, no. I focus on a few recurring clients than many one-offs.
Accepting copywriting projects depends on my availability and the extent of my expertise in the desired copy. I am far from being the best content creator in the world! If I feel that I am not able to provide the highest quality writing because the subject requested is beyond me, I will respectfully decline and provide you with a strategy to come up with an alternative solution for your needs.
4. How much does a copywriter service cost?
I get this question a lot, and it is as difficult to answer as the question "who much does a car cost". It depends.
I charge based on the value that a deliverable brings to you. When the price reflects this value, my clients appreciate it and put my deliverables to good use. I have a dedicated pricing page where I provide a breakdown of how I charge my copywriter services, as well as how payments are.
However, my pricing page only gives you the minimum you can expect per service. After a copy brief is sent to me, the research involved, as well as the value to you may increase the price. You are still not obligated in any way to pay anything unless both sides agree after I get the brief.
There are no hidden costs. What I ask is what you pay.
5. What if I'm not happy with the deliverable?
If you are a first-time customer and you are not happy with the result, I am happy to give you more revisions until you are satisfied. I also give you a 15-day money-back guarantee.
If you are not happy with the deliverable and you don't want to use it, then we are not meant to work together, and that's fine for both of us. Be advised, however, that you will not be allowed to use the copy that is not paid for.
6. How many reviews are included in the price?
I don't believe in setting a limit on reviews of written content. Sometimes, because of the nature of the project, or because of ever-changing viewpoints triggered by the back-and-forth project, the project may need 100 reviews.
Other times, the first take is the final version.
What I do is offer unlimited reviews within a predefined period of time.
The length of the review period depends on the volume of the deliverable ,and it's either 1 or 2 weeks from the delivery of the first draft.
Setting a time limit to finalize the project also motivates us to focus on it and find the best path to making it happen on time.
You can't get a better offer than that!
7. How do I know I can trust you as a copywriter?
Trust is paramount in every business transaction, and I do not expect you to fully trust a stranger. However, you can check my copywriter portfolio. It contains some samples of my work. All I ask is that you register before gaining access to it so that I know who is seeing it.
You can also check my online activity on social media to see for yourself that I have every motive to be credible.
8. I've decided on a copywriter service. How do I proceed?
If you desire to acquire my copywriter services, all you have to do is decide on the precise service you require. I am flexible and adaptable to your individual needs, so you can contact me in case what you want doesn't fit the exact description of any of my services presented here. I aim for personalized results every time because copywriting is not a one-size-fits-all solution. You can also check the pricing for each service to find out the minimum price for each service. Prices depend on research required and value of deliverable. You will only be charged if you accept to the price first.
After we connect, I will kindly ask you to fill in and send me a copy brief in which you can describe your marketing strategy and what you expect from my deliverable, together with the desired deadline. The more detail you provide, the better the deliverable will be. After reviewing the copy brief, I will give you a quote.
Providing you agree on the price, you pay me half of the money before I begin and the rest upon delivery, after revisions, if required.
In case you are not happy with the result, you can request a refund (not for large projects like white papers and website content, I'm afraid). I aim to keep you happy, so communication is key. The deeper we understand each other, the better the result.
9. How can I pay?
You can pay me via PayPal or bank transfer, after you receive the deliverable. I'll give you my information when you accept a quote.
In the case of large projects, (i.e. white papers), I may require a non-refundable deposit.
