My role as an author
What do copywriters and authors have in common?
Well, they're just writers, people whose identity is that of putting value into words. It was my dream to be a professional writer, and I made it happen. The next step is to be an author, the Holy Grail of writing, but what scared me the most was not knowing how to promote a book once I would finish writing it.
With years of experience in digital and content marketing, now I know. It's not easy, and it's not exactly the fastest strategy there is, but it's the most likely to succeed. Knowing now that I've got the tools to market and promote myself as an author has given me the encouragement necessary to actually get to it.
I started a number of books in the past but currently I have not finished one. It's easy to start writing a book. The same cannot be said about finishing it, nor marketing it. The first book I began was at the age of 21, and it was an urban apocalyptic fantasy novel about a troubled youth in a surreal dystopian city crushed between reality, the supernatural and doubting the hero's (and the reader's) own sanity. That book evolved into a non-fiction on religion, but as I grew I started other concept, conceiving new book ideas faster than I could finish a project.
I was told that that was part of the process.
Fast forward to today, my book writing is now clear in my mind, and I have set a course. I am set to finish in 2020 a deliberately controversial book on a new approach to motivation. The next book in line will be a provocative non-fiction on the dynamics of love with never-before-seen concepts. They aim to be easy fun reads with useful guidelines to drastically improve one's understanding of life as well as their life choices.
Stay tuned.
My promise to you is that regardless of what you feel about my ideas, the way you view the world after getting exposed to them will never be the same. You won't be disappointed.
P.S.: If you want to write a book and need advice on how to make it happen, and more importantly, how to promote it, send me a message. I'd be happy to hear your thoughts and to share with you some tips.
